Abstract

The integrated curriculum of religious and modern education is an
innovative step in the educational system that aims to present
religious values and contemporary sciences in a balanced manner.
The success of this curriculum depends on the collective efforts and
support of experts, teachers, parents and society. If implemented
properly, students will be trained according to Islamic values while
meeting international standards. Moreover, this initiative will help
reduce the societal conflicts that are often fueled by external forces.
A well-structured and balanced curriculum aligned with Islamic and
national values is crucial. Though the development of such a
curriculum poses certain challenges, it is essential for the progress
of the educational system and national unity. A key issue is that
religious schools (MADRASA) give little attention to modern
subjects, while regular schools do not adequately emphasize
religious studies. Additionally, teachers often lack interest in
teaching these subjects, which negatively affects the quality of
education and the efficiency of the educational system. This study
will highlight and analyze the similarities and differences in the
subjects taught in schools and madrasas up to the sixth grade.
