Science fiction is a European literary genre, first introduced by Wilson in the early 19th century through a small book. It represents a paradoxical fusion of science and fiction: science is grounded in empirical research, while fiction emphasizes imaginative and artistic elements. This hybrid term examines imaginary worlds through scientific principles. Knowledge is categorized into natural and social sciences. The distinction between them is notable: natural sciences are based on experiments, while social sciences concentrate on social dynamics and character development.
This study focuses on comparing contemporary scientific theories and advancements with concepts found in Pashto folk literature. It demonstrates that modern technological innovations have their roots in the imaginative and inventive ideas of ancient Aryans and Khorasanians, who developed various simple machines and tools for everyday use. Employing descriptive-comparative and qualitative methods, the research concludes that the dynamic and influential aspects of Pashto folk literature continue to resonate with contemporary science, maintaining a significant role alongside it.
